Background info:
As for now, I am currently working here as a web tv show broadcasting host on PipsAngels.com. I’ve been pursuing Modeling and Broadcast tv for the past fourteen years. Mostly modeling up until 2002 when I started working on a television show called Sister Blvd. This show was a round table of women who debated subjects then individual women interviewing guests from the community about their services and areas of expertise. Much like the television show ________??? If you will. It only aired a few times on WB20 before it failed due to a number of reasons in which it is not my place to discuss. But for me it was experience on camera live with a studio audience and was a project that we worked on for over eight months, gathering information, interviewing and practicing. I have a lengthy resume of commercial, print, runway, television, radio, special events vip hosting and promotional modeling experience. My resume and many pictures of my work and experiences will be posted in the near future for our members.
In 2001 I was introduced to the beautiful world of Hawaiian Tropics. The first two competitions I took 2nd and 3rd place along with some other titles such as Miss Photogenic and Miss Tenaciously tempting, voted by two past Temptation Island contestants in Boyne Mt. Then onto winning Miss Michigan Hawaiian Tropics and off to Hawaii for Nationals. I did not place the top 10 @ nationals but became a part of the “Hawaiian Tropic family” I was asked to Ron Rice’s home for a 4 day photoshoot @ his two homes in Daytona during his Halloween party, along with a select few other models. >From then on I was one of Ron’s favorites, his “Beertender” as he would chuckle and say. Though I like grey goose, martinis, fine wine and champagne. I am a beer(bud light) drinking kind of girl. Who doesn’t watch a football or hockey game or go to a concert and drink an ice cold beer??? Anyhow since I also bartend for xtra cash, I naturally started making everyone’s drinks and helping with food and cleaning while he’s entertaining all of us as his guests. So that’s where beertender comes in. From then on I was invited back to Hawaii two more years to compete at Nationals and asked to be a special events model at the most exclusive A-list events such as the Sundance Film Festival and VIP @Superbowl weekend! Some of us models were also given the opportunity to be on set for a full day with the cast of Baywatch. We shot a few scenes in the movie, “ Wedding in Hawaii,” even a scene running down the beach with David Haselhoff. Through Hawaiian Tropics, myself and many other of the girls were introduced to the American Dream Girl Calendar which was sponsored mostly by TrimSpa. There we spent ten days in the Bahamas and where we were lucky enough to be invited to one of Peter Nygard’s mansions in the Bahamas to do photoshoots, more Baywatch filming and party! Hawaiian Tropics and Ron Rice himself was such a wonderful thing to be a part of and I am very thankful. Unfortunately, Hawaiian Tropics has recently been sold to the public and the contests and opportunity will never be what it once was. But stay tuned for College pin-up girls, which a friend of mine through Hawaiian Tropics, Keeven Taylor, has been putting together for all of you models. One of my favorite sayings “You’ll never know if you don’t try”
Then off to the Auto show industry where I would work as a product specialist and spokes model/narrator for 3 years. What an awesome opportunity for traveling, learning, and becoming comfortable on stage in front of a crowd while memorizing a script. I also worked as a personal trainer at Lifetime Fitness for a few years as well as at a friend’s private gym, training group fitness classes. I enjoy working with and helping people reach their goals, in which will then in return make themselves happier. I love to work –out, play and watch sports, rollerblade, dance (hip-hop to swing), wakeboarding, snowmobiling and canoeing.
My next big opportunity would come in 2006 when I won a radio broadcasting position as WRIF Rock Girl. This title included being the face, voice, and promotional model of the number one Rock n Roll radio station in Detroit, 101.1 WRIF!! Everything that Rocks!! What an awesome title, especially fit for someone who has grown up loving rock n roll. I also love hip hop, alternative, house, and some country. Not a big fan of hard core rap or heavy metal. But Rock n Roll will always have my heart. This meant billboards, a commercial, full page ad in Stuff magazine, as well promoting and marketing WRIF and its sponsors through public appearances and radio broadcasting. I had the opportunity to be on stage with, announce and party with bands. I took Sammy Hagar shots out on stage to him during the Cabo Wabo show and at the end he did a song with Kid Rock and @ I was asked to do the bow with the entire band at the largest outdoor venue in Michigan, DTE music theatre. Wow!! What an amazing year! I am so thankful for an experience of a lifetime.
Some of my favorites things include my family and friends, music and art, muscle and luxury cars, motorcycles, filet mignon, sushi, pepperoni pizza, Milano cookies, laughing, cuddling, and being goofy. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people and continuously learning and growing.
A few of the movies I love are Notebook, Braveheart, 300, Forest Gump, How to lose a guy in 10 days, Wedding crashers, American Pie, Meet the Parents and Good fellas.
I attended college for 2 years but I wasn’t sure what it was I wanted to pursue besides modeling and broadcasting. My first year I was in Nursing, second in Law and last year started taking business classes. I also enjoy psychology and recently thought about going back to school to study that. I’m planning to give it another year or two before I make a final decision…what’s the rush? No children in the near future considering I’m still single…lol which is by choice or because all the good men are taken. Lol. I did get my personal trainers certification and my Real Estate License as something to fall back on.
Though working as personal trainer is something I would continue to do if I found the right place to train. Currently, broadcasting and helping people learn and master the Forex market are my main focus.
That’s about it for me….
